Timblo Shipyards FDD presently can dock vessels up to 5000 tons displacement. The repair facility includes associated workshops such as plate shop, pipe shop, electrical shop & mechanical shop. The shipyard also undertakes afloat repairs on mooring buoys or alongside the crane spud barge. The infrastructure has been made for the movement of material both on land as well as on water through tug + pontoon and motor boat (launches).An internal road with a total length of about 6 km connects all corners of the facility that enables free movement of trucks and containers.

 

EQUIPMENTS FLOATING

• TIMBLO SHIPYARDS FDD.
  A floating Drydock 123 meters long with a clear internal beam of 33.6 meters. The lifting capacity of this dock is 5000 tons. Vessels with a draft of 4.5 meters can be dry-docked on this floating dock. It is equipped with two 10 ton cranes, one generator of 750 KVA & another generator of 380 KVA.
• PTI 1.
  A 12.4 meters LOA steel mini tug cum utility craft to tow barges, pontoons, ferry personal, small equipment and spare parts to and fro.
• PTI 2.
  A dumb spud barge 38 meters by 10.2 meters which is equipped with three gravity spuds and a five ton gantry running for more than half the length of the barge, capable of lifting material off a vessel alongside the stern. The barge is outfitted with six cabins for offices and other uses. Galley for cooking. One generator of 60 KVA,one generator of 30 KVA,lathe machine, pedestal drilling machine,Cutting machine & other small workshop machines.
• PTI 3.
  A dumb crane barge 45 meters by 14.5 meters and four gravity spuds.It has a facility to berth two vessels on either side for floating repairs. The barge is outfitted with a 250 ton P@H mechanical crane,piping machinery & steel hot work machinery.
• PTI 4.
  A dumb barge 30 meters by 12 meters to transport material to and fro form the shore to the floating facilities.
• PTI 5.
  A 23 ton BP tug to assist in manovering operations, berthing operations, docking operations as well as towage.

PROVISION ON LAND

• OUTFITTING WORKSHOP.
  A shed 30 x 12 meters fitted with a 5 ton EOT crane for mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairs. To be commissioned on the 30th of April 2012.
• MACHINE SHOP.
  A shed 20 x 12 meters outfitted with a 10 ton EOT crane. Lathes of various sizes along with equipped machine shop. To be commissioned on 15th April 2012.
• PIPE AND PLATE SHOP.
  A shed 20 X 15 meters for working on pipes and steel forming. This facility will be fitted with two 10 ton EOT cranes. Hydraulic presses for bending steel along with pipe bending machines.To be commissioned on 30th April 2012.
• OFFICE.
  A 225 sq meter office to administer shipyard activities with conference halls and spaces for Owner reps & class surveyors.

ACCOMMODATION

The accommodation of all labour and staff will be within the premises with provisions for separate accommodation for senior staff, class representatives, owners representatives & senior officers. All the facilities will be made operational in stages and would be fully operational by End March 2014. Currently three hotels have been taken up on a yearly basis to cope with the temporary requirements of all accommodation. Temporary sheds have also been setup for the labour accommodation.
